Some amazing writers inspired me to take on this 31-day challenge. And in the way that I believe all positive inspiration does, it truly challenged me. For me, this was not only new but hard; it also led to a change in perspective.
Where I once saw more of me, I now see more of God.
What I once thought was in my control, I now see that He controls.
What I once thought was my own strength and power, I now see His power and strength in my weakness.
Where I once thought people and things inspired me to move, I now believe there is a Force behind it all.
I see that living with a heart open to the beauty of God and His wisdom is truly living inspired. It makes you a seeker, eager to breathe in all that God breathes out over us all. It is clinging to His word…His Spirit…His truth, and letting them renew us each day.
Through this writing journey, I’ve had plans derailed, efforts to hurry stalled, and my imperfections and inconsistencies made more blatant. It’s been rough. But in hindsight, I am grateful because I learned so much.
With that in mind, here is my prayer for each one of us continuing on the inspired living journey:
Oh Lord,
Help us
giving open eyes
and open hearts
to receive
Your divine inspiration
Guide us
establishing our steps
each one
perfect and divine
according to Your plan
Teach us
making each day
each moment
a time to learn
Your wisdom and Your ways
Show us
how to work in faith
sharing the gifts
and blessings bestowed
to glorify Your name
And use us
because everyone
needs to see your beauty
on this journey
called life
This is Day 31 of the series, 31 Days of Inspired Living. In this series, I’ll write about what I think it looks like to find the inspiration that makes us better. I’ll also offer some encouragement for your journey. In case you missed a day, you can find previous posts in the series here.
