This is the moment
It’s on the line
Which way you gonna fall?
In the middle between
Wrong and right
But you know after all

It’s your life
What you gonna do?
The world is watching you
Every day the choices you make
Say what you are and who
Your heart beats for
It’s an open door
It’s your life

Are you who you always said you would be?
With a sinking feeling in your chest
Always waiting for someone else to fix you
Tell me when did you forget

To live the way that you believe
This is your opportunity
To let your life be one that lights the way

(From “It’s Your Life” by Francesca Battistelli)

I think this is going to be my theme song for 2012.

It’s the kind of song just makes you want to get off your butt, and do something. Whether it’s getting active, getting your priorities in order, mending a relationship, or just standing up for something you believe in…it makes you just want to do it.

Personally, it calls me to be everything I know I can be, and do what I am called to do. Whatever that may be.

I always start out a year with the best of intentions and visions for the next twelve months. But somehow, over time, the fuel runs out and the drive turns into a steady idle.

I can’t let that happen again.

I see 2012 as a new opportunity to be more cognizant of the choices I make, and how they affect my life and my overall vision for it.

2012 is going to be a year to move forward, and get things done that I’ve been wanting to do for years.

See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.
– Isaiah 42:9 (NIV)

What are you going to do in 2012?

  1. I found you on Sunday Tandem, and loved the words of that song! May we have anointed hands and feet to do and go where the Lord leads us in 1012. May He shower us with opportunity of His doing and we step up to fulfil His call.
